Ear Diseases and Treatments
Middle Ear Infection (Otitis Media)
This condition, commonly seen in children, develops with fluid accumulation in the middle ear following upper respiratory tract infections. It presents with pain, hearing reduction and fever. Antibiotic and medical treatment is applied in early stages. Ear tube insertion may be performed in cases unresponsive to medication.
Hearing Loss Treatments
Cause-specific treatment is applied for conductive, sensorineural or mixed-type hearing losses. Emergency situations such as age-related losses or sudden hearing loss are managed by our clinic. Treatment options include hearing aids, medical treatments and surgical methods such as cochlear implants.
Vertigo and Balance Disorders
May occur due to displacement of balance crystals in the inner ear (BPPV), Meniere's disease or vestibular neuritis. Diagnosis is made with videonystagmography (VNG) and positional tests. Corrective maneuvers such as the Epley maneuver, medication and vestibular rehabilitation exercises are applied.
Nasal Diseases and Surgery
Sinusitis and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
Inflammation of the cavities between facial bones (sinuses). Quality of life significantly decreases in chronic sinusitis cases lasting longer than 12 weeks. Main symptoms include facial pain, nasal congestion, postnasal drip and loss of smell. Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) is used in chronic cases.
Nasal Obstruction and Septoplasty
Septum deviation or turbinate enlargement makes breathing difficult. Septoplasty opens the airway, and turbinates can be reduced with radiofrequency in the same session. This procedure largely resolves snoring and sleep quality issues.
Adenoid Problems
Adenoid enlargement, especially common in children, causes mouth breathing during sleep, snoring and frequent middle ear infections. Adenoidectomy is performed when medication fails to reduce the tissue. The procedure takes 15-30 minutes and children are usually discharged the same day.
Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)
Aesthetic concerns such as nasal hump, deviation or drooping tip are corrected in combination with functional breathing surgery. The goal is both a natural appearance and healthy breathing.
Throat Diseases and Treatments
Tonsil Diseases and Tonsillectomy
Surgical solution is recommended when tonsils are frequently infected (5-7 times per year) or enlarged enough to obstruct breathing. Post-tonsillectomy infection frequency decreases, and growth and development are positively affected.
Hoarseness and Vocal Cord Surgery
Structures such as nodules, polyps or cysts on vocal cords cause hoarseness. Microlaryngeal surgery is performed for lesions unresponsive to voice therapy. ENT specialist examination is essential for hoarseness lasting longer than 2 weeks.
